You save a useful lesson, close Telegram, and never return to it. A reminder is most useful when it names the next action: “Try three sentences from my English lesson,” rather than “Study more.” Here are two ways to make that small return easier.
Set a reminder in Saved Messages
- Open Saved Messages in Telegram.
- Write the action and enough context to recognize it later. For example: Review the three expressions I saved for tomorrow’s meeting.
- On mobile, hold the Send button and choose the scheduling/reminder option. Labels can differ between Telegram clients; use the current Send menu rather than a screenshot from another platform.
- Choose the date and time, then inspect the scheduled item before leaving.
Telegram documents scheduling in Saved Messages as a reminder feature in its official announcement. A scheduled message in someone else’s chat is a message to that person; use Saved Messages when the reminder is for you.
When Skeddy is useful
Skeddy is a separate bot, not a TelegramSpot service. Its operator describes ordinary-language reminders and recurring schedules in a Mini App. The operator currently calls it free to use. We have not tested reminder delivery, and the examples below are instructions to try rather than captured bot replies.
- Open the exact @SkeddyBot handle.
- Set your timezone and language in its Mini App.
- Try a harmless one-off reminder, such as Review my notes in five minutes.
- Read the confirmation. Does it name the intended day, time and timezone? For a repeat schedule, inspect its next occurrence and interval.
- After the test arrives, remove the test item. Only then set up the routine you actually need.
A quick check before relying on it
Swipe to compare
| Check | What you want to see |
|---|---|
| Time | The expected date and local time, especially after travel. |
| Notifications | The chat and phone allow the kind of alert you expect. |
| Repeat | The next occurrence matches the intended interval. |
| Cleanup | You know where to edit, stop or remove the schedule. |
A missed phone notification and a bot that never replied are different problems. Check the schedule itself and the chat’s notification settings before repeatedly creating another copy. If the bot does not answer, follow the bot troubleshooting guide.
Make the reminder lead somewhere useful
Link it to one small task. For example, use the five-session English practice sheet, or return to one exercise from the study workflow. These are suggested routines, not measured learning results.
Can I remind a group?
Skeddy’s operator documents group reminders using its /add command. A group reminder reaches other people, so agree on the task and schedule with the group before creating one. The walkthrough above is for your own private test.
